Binderholz takes over Anaika Wood Group in Finland

Binderholz Nordic Oy expects to close acquisition of Anaika Wood Group’s assets in Lieksa / Kevätniemi by March 31,2017. According to the disclosed information, the company agreed the transaction in February 2017.

The buyer took over the entire machine park of Anaika consisting of 2 machine lines, a finger-jointing machine, a band saw, a press brake, a stacking machine and drying chambers. The mill has production capacity for  planed products of 220,000 m³, and 50,000 m³ of laminated beech in three-shift operation per year. This means that the processing quantity of planed and glued solid wood products in the binder group is approx. 1.2 million m³ per year.

Wit the step Binderholz expects to make another step towards becoming a full-range supplier for the Asian and US markets. The product portfolio of the mill targets the markets outside Europe (Japan, China, the USA etc). Existing JAS certification of Anaika’s is also part of the deal.

Binderholz plans to build a new pellet plant to utilize shavings from the mill.


Earlier Binderholz took over entire share capital of Vapo Timber Oy from Vapo Oy.
