Voith introduced a new creping blade with ceramic coating. According to the announcement, the new SkySoft solution helps to increase tissue productivity. Its specially developed ceramic tip is highly wear-resistant for a longer lifetime and less machine downtime, it is also designed to reduce friction on the Yankee cylinder, avoiding damage to its surface.

The SkySoft creping blades are produced at the Voith manufacturing site in Theresienfeld, Austria. The fully automated production process provides constant characteristics and quality and allows creping blades to be supplied with a full range of angles to suit all applications.

The company stated that the new blades are compatible with all blade holder.

Earlier Voith together with Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures  announced an establishment of a digital marketplace for paper industry. The new marketplace has been named merQbiz.
