BillerudKorsnäs invests into a new brown stock washing sideline at its mill in Sweden

BillerudKorsnäs, a leading manufacturers of packaging paper, invests into a new brown stock washing sideline. According to the announcement, the company placed an order for a new DD-washer with Andritz. Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.

With the new equipment BillerudKorsnäs expects to produce for the new board machine a high-purity pulp used for food packaging.

The scope of the technology provider together with the new washer includes four MC pumps and a pulp Screw Press with the Andritz’s control system. Washing capacities are over 6,000 admt/d/unit.

Earlier BillerudKorsnäs reported 33.2% increase of EBITDA amid 3.1% increase of net sales in 1Q2017 y-o-y.
