Ence increases bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp price to 900USD/t in 3Q2017

Ence – Energía y Celulosa announces a price increase of USD 50/tonne for bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp (BEKP). After the increase the list price will account for 900USD/tonne in Q3. 

The increase  will be implemented progressively with following steps:

1) 15USD/t on July 1, 2017;

2) 15USD/t on August 1, 2017; and

3) 20USD/t on September 1, 1, 2017.

According to the announcement, the market outlook for BHKP globally remains positive with strong demand in all the markets, inventories continue trending down and the supply is stressed.

In 1Q2017 Ence increased EBITDA by 22.3%.

Earlier Ence agreed to purchase Endesa’s stake in the renewable energy generation plants with biomass of Enemasa (Ciudad Real) and La Loma (Jaén).
