Hunton Fiber invests into a greenfield wood processing line in Norway

Hunton Fiber, a leading producer of blown-in insulation and insulation board, invests into a new greenfield wood processing line near its mill in Gjørvik, Norway. According to the announcement, the company placed an order with Andritz for supply of chip handling, pressurized refining equipment, and the chemical dosing system. Start-up of the equipment is scheduled for May 2018.

According to the announcement, the new plant will be built on a greenfield site 5 km from the existing plant. The  chip feeding system, which will process 100% spruce as raw material, as well as a pressurized refining system with a capacity of 5 bdmt/h and a chemical dosing system.
