Pulp output in Finland increased by 2.6% in 1Q2017

Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) informed that pulp production was up 2.6% in 1Q2017 compared to the corresponding period of 2016. Forest industry corporations produced a total of 1.9 Mt of pulp in January–March 2017.

According to the announcement:

  • Pulp production increased by 2.6% in 1Q2017 to a total of 1.9Mt
  • Paper production contracted 5% to 1.7Mt in 1Q2017
  • Paperboard production was up 6.1% to 0.9Mt in 1Q2017

 

Softwood output in Finland increased by 15.1% in 1Q2017

Earlier Finnish Forest Industries Federation appointed Director and Chief Economist.
