Softwood output in Finland increased by 15.1% in 1Q2017

Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) informed that softwood sawn timber production grew by 15.1% in the first quarter of 2017 and amounted to 3.1 million m3. At the same time, plywood production grew by 17% to 0.3 million m3 cubic.

The federation explains the positive dynamics with the increase in the European demand, and the demand in China in the early part of 2017.

Pulp output in Finland increased by 2.6% in 1Q2017.
