Sun Paper invests into a new wrapper at its tissue plant in the US

Sun Paper invests into a new wrapper at its Duncan plant in South Carolina, USA. According to the announcement, the company placed an order with Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) for XF800 wrapper.

The new machine is replacing a reciprocating wrapper at one of Sun Paper’s existing winder lines. Its installation is scheduled for October 2017

The XF800 wrapper features a continuous motion design, flexible layout options and motorized adjustments for fast initial pack setup. With an optional fifth infeed lane and third level, it can adapt to a variety of packaging projects to meet the changing needs facing the tissue industry.

Joe Salgado, Executive Vice President at Sun Paper, commented:

“PCMC’s continuous flow technology gives us increased throughput on a broad range of products from a single machine. We’re also excited about the improved change repeatability and the simpler operating system that the XF800 provides.”
